What can I expect at my appointment?
Each appointment will begin with taking pictures of the areas to be treated. Then I will attach a grounding pad on the shoulder or thigh, connect it to the Exilis Ultra machine and begin the treatment. I will apply oil to the area to be treated and begin using the facial applicator in a circular motion. Immediately after your treatment you may return to your normal activities with no downtime.
What areas can I use Exilis Ultra on?
Exilis Ultra can be used effectively on essentially every part of the face and body. It is effective in smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, nasolabial folds, jowls, neck and declotte, and even hands. The large hand piece can be used anywhere on the body.
How many treatments will I need with Exilis Ultra?
The recommended course of treatment is generally four sessions, 10 to 14 days apart. You may have additional treatments if desired.
Is it safe?
Exilis has been tested in clinical studies and proven to be safe and effective. It has been cleared by the FDA in the U.S. for use in dermatologic and aesthetic procedures.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, or nursing, Exilis should not be used. Additionally, if you have a pacemaker or any other implanted electronic device, you will be unable to undergo this treatment. If you have metal implants, this must be discussed.
What about recovery?
There is absolutely no downtime. During the treatment you should feel only minimal discomfort. No anesthesia will be used and you can assume normal activities immediately following each treatment. Some pinkness on the treated area may last for about 15-30 minutes.
How long does it take to begin seeing results?
Immediately following the facial treatment your skin will feel velvety soft. Because new collagen is forming you will experience results as long as ninety days after your series of treatments.
How long do results last?
By maintaining a healthy diet and exercise you can expect long-term results. It takes about ninety days for new collagen to form so results continue long after the last treatment.
What are the side effects?
There have been no significant side effects reported with Exilis treatment.

Most people are good candidates. It may take more than three treatments to get the desired results if you have more advanced wrinkles.
